BatchPurifier
by Digital Confidence Ltd.
BatchPurifier™ is widely applicable in professional settings where documents, images, or media are shared externally. Lawyers, compliance teams, and corporate users can rely on it to prevent inadvertent disclosure of revision histories, author names, or location data in images. It also helps meet privacy and compliance obligations by ensuring files are free from hidden or unnecessary metadata before distribution.
Features and functions of BatchPurifier™ include:
Supported File Formats & Hidden Data Types
BatchPurifier™ supports 28 different file formats, covering common office documents, images, and media files. It works with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), LibreOffice, PDFs, JPEG, PNG, WebP, SVG, AVI, MP3, MP4, and more. Across these formats, the tool removes over 60 kinds of hidden data and metadata, including document properties, revision history, comments, tracked changes, embedded text, and image metadata. This broad support ensures sensitive information is scrubbed no matter the file type.
Batch and Bulk Processing
The platform is designed for efficiency by allowing users to process multiple files at once. Instead of opening and cleaning files individually, BatchPurifier™ removes metadata in bulk, including files contained within ZIP archives. It can even strip metadata from embedded objects, such as JPEGs within PowerPoint presentations, in a single operation. This makes it particularly effective for organizations that regularly share large volumes of documents.
Selective and Permanent Removal
Users can choose which types of hidden data to remove rather than being forced into an “all-or-nothing” approach. This selective removal ensures that only sensitive information is stripped while preserving useful metadata if needed. Once removed, the data is permanently deleted—not simply masked—so it cannot be recovered later. This guarantees compliance with data hygiene and privacy standards.
Offline and Security-Focused Operation
BatchPurifier™ runs entirely on Windows desktops without requiring an internet connection. Since no files are uploaded to external servers, sensitive information remains within the user’s control. This offline approach makes the software particularly suitable for professionals and organizations working with confidential or regulated data, where data sovereignty and information security are critical.
