Vexlio is a web-based diagramming application that combines standard flowchart and process map creation with a click-to-reveal popup system, enabling users to layer contextual detail onto a diagram without cluttering the main view.
Key features and functions include:
Interactive Popup Content Any shape or node in a diagram can be configured to display a popup when clicked. Popup content may include rich text, images, tables, hyperlinks, or full sub-diagrams, allowing detailed information—such as checklists, statute references, or supporting notes—to be attached to individual process steps or decision points while the primary diagram remains readable.
Shareable Viewer Links Completed diagrams can be published as a unique viewer URL. Recipients can explore the interactive diagram in a web browser without creating an account or installing software. Viewer links are read-only, and access is managed by controlling who receives the link.
Canvas Editor with Precision Controls The editing environment includes smart snapping and alignment guides, numeric controls for precise positioning and sizing, and support for live-edit LaTeX equations. Images in PNG, JPEG, and SVG formats can be imported, with SVG files retaining their vector properties on scaling.
Export Options Diagrams can be exported as PNG or JPEG on the free plan. PDF and SVG export are available on paid tiers. Export tools include auto-cropping, selected-object export, and custom region export.
Embedding Published viewer links can be embedded via iframe, allowing diagrams to be incorporated into company wikis, SharePoint sites, and other knowledge base platforms.
Deployment Options Vexlio is available as a cloud-hosted web application. A self-hosted deployment option is available for organizations with on-premises requirements, supported via Docker Compose.
