SimSage IIM
by SimSage (UK) Ltd
The SimSage Intelligent Information Management (IIM) Platform is an enterprise software platform that enables organizations to manage, search, categorize, and automate their information assets using natural language processing and semantic search. The platform is organized around four core modules: Audit, Find, Categorize, and Automate, with additional capabilities for redaction, privacy tracking, federated search, and data inventory.
Key Features & Functions:
SimSage Audit
The Audit module performs a deep analysis of an organization's information inventory to identify accumulated, duplicate, aged, or redundant data. It is designed to support data governance and risk reduction by providing visibility into the extent and condition of an organization's data estate.
SimSage Find (Enterprise Search)
A semantic search engine that connects to and indexes information across an organization's systems, including Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Google Docs, Dropbox, and other platforms. Searches are performed across structured and unstructured data using keyword or natural language queries. The system applies NLP to return contextually relevant results even when search terms differ from the language used in the source documents.
SimSage Categorize
The Categorize module automates document tagging and classification, enabling documents to be filed and retrieved according to an organization's chosen taxonomy. No manual tagging is required from the user; the system learns from uploaded content.
SimSage Automate
A workflow automation module designed to manage data-intensive processes. Supported use cases include Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), Right to be Forgotten requests, and data breach response processes.
Federated and Extranet Search
Extends search capabilities beyond an organization's internal systems to include data held by clients, partners, or newly merged or acquired entities. Data can be searched in place without requiring it to be transferred or migrated.
Data Inventory
Provides visibility into the location, age, and nature of an organization's data, including personal, confidential, and financial information. The feature supports identification of duplicates and documents that fall outside retention policy parameters.
Privacy Tracker
Identifies and surfaces documents containing specific categories of personal or sensitive information, including names, addresses, email addresses, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, and national insurance numbers. Used in conjunction with the Redaction feature to support DSAR responses.
Redaction
Automatically identifies and redacts Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from documents, with the option for users to manually redact additional words or phrases. Supports preparation of documents for external sharing or regulatory disclosure.
