Activity Capture
The software records billable work as attorneys perform it across applications including Word, Outlook, PDFs, email, calendar, Zoom, Teams, Chrome, phone, and AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. Capture is local-first on the attorney’s device, with a rolling purge of raw activity data, and attorneys can pause capture at any time.

Draft Generation
Captured activity is converted into draft time entries with written narratives and the relevant matter and billing codes attached. The system is designed to learn firm-specific matters and billing conventions over time, and drafts remain visible only to the attorney until released.

Review and Sync
Attorneys review, edit, or discard drafts before releasing approved entries to the firm’s existing system. \

LegalTime AI is a Clio Trusted Platform Developer, connecting to Clio Manage through Clio’s official integration channel.

Data Handling
The product states it does not store or train shared AI models on client content. Zero Data Retention agreements are maintained with its AI providers, and the vendor signs data processing agreements with firms. A SOC 2 Type II examination is in progress; the product is not yet SOC 2 certified.
