Lawsearch is the core legal research engine within Weblaw's product suite, providing access to Swiss legislation, case law, and legal publications through a single search interface. It is available in three configurations: Lawsearch, a structured legal database with semantic search; Lawsearch AI, a productivity layer adding AI-powered querying; and Lawsearch Enterprise, which adds an enterprise knowledge management layer on top of Lawsearch AI.

Full-Text Search
Searches across Swiss federal and cantonal court decisions, federal and cantonal legislation, and Weblaw legal publications including Jusletter and other specialist publications.

Semantic Search
Retrieves documents based on conceptual meaning rather than keyword matching, enabling more relevant results for complex legal queries.

AI-Powered Natural Language Querying
Users can pose questions in plain language and receive answers with source references drawn from the Weblaw content universe.

Internal Data Integration
Available in the Enterprise tier, this allows organizations to connect document management systems, CRM platforms, and other internal data sources to Lawsearch, enabling search across both internal and public Swiss legal content in a single interface. Supported integrations include iManage, SharePoint, and M-Files. Access rules and user group restrictions can be configured to meet internal governance requirements.

Deployment and Security
The AI tier is built on a secured Azure Enterprise infrastructure with no use of client data for AI model training. Flexible deployment options are available including on-premises and client-hosted AI models.
