Founded in 2020 by Kyle Alexander and Emile Van Den Berg, Upper Sigma was acquired by Litera in 2023.  It's name was changed to Foundation Clients in March 2025.

Litera has raised a total of $102M in funding over 5 rounds. Their latest undisclosed amount of funding was raised in November 2021 from a Private Equity round.
