Google released its "AI Overview" feature earlier this month, which uses Gemini's AI to summarize search results into short paragraphs. Unfortunately for Google, they forgot that a lot of the stuff on the internet is not just wrong but absurd - a fact highlighted when surfaced through a chat interface in response to a question, and compounded by the use of technology that will also produce false answers from time to time.
