Legal Hold Management
ZDiscovery's legal hold module enables users to create, distribute, and monitor legal holds efficiently. Features include automation of custodian interviews and reminders, integration with systems like HRIS and matter management tools, and generation of audit trails for defensibility. The platform also offers a Tasks module to track project milestones within matters. 

Data Preservation
The platform allows for in-place preservation of data from sources such as Microsoft Office 365, Google Vault, and Slack without requiring IT assistance. It records automated audit trails for each preservation action and supports automatic lifting of holds upon matter closure. 

Data Collection
ZDiscovery facilitates direct data collection from Office 365, including Teams chats and custodian data, using certificate-based authentication. Users can perform targeted searches with various filters and monitor collection statuses in real-time. Collected data can be seamlessly transitioned into the review module. 

Data Processing and Review
Leveraging the Nuix engine, ZDiscovery processes a wide range of file types, including Encase and FTK files. Features such as deNISTing and deduplication help reduce data volumes. The review module supports keyword searches, tagging, redaction of sensitive information, and export of documents in various formats with customizable metadata.
