Verdica is a web-based AI case preparation platform for plaintiff personal injury law firms, built for solo and small firm workflows with features also configured for larger firms.
Key features and functions include:
Medical Record Analysis
Builds a chronology of diagnoses, bills and visits with ICD-10 codes, with each fact cited to the page it came from. Processes scanned and faxed documents and bulk record exports, and flags items for manual review when needed.
Adjuster Red Flags
Surfaces issues an adjuster may raise before a demand goes out, including treatment gaps, delayed first visits, prior injuries, pre-existing condition overlap, unfilled prescriptions, and missing causation opinions or records.
Settlement Valuation
Values each case against verdict and settlement comparables, applies state rules and damages caps, calculates net recovery after fees and liens, and shows the reasoning behind the valuation.
Demand Letters
Drafts demand letters with every fact cited to its source record, using standard and optional section templates, verified state statutes for Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Florida, California, Texas and Georgia, a billing table, and the firm’s own letterhead. Letters can be edited within the platform and exported to Word, or to PDF with supporting exhibits.
Medical Records Retrieval
Orders medical records, billing and radiology from within a case through a records retrieval service. The client e-signs the authorization, protected records are excluded from the request, and each request is tracked, with optional certification.
VeraAI Assistant
An AI assistant that answers case questions with citations to the record and can draft letters, forms and lien-dispute correspondence for attorney review.
Integrations and Firm Setup
Integrates with Clio, Smokeball and SmartAdvocate, with folder sync and write-back to the matter, and imports records from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and Box. Each firm’s implementation is configured around its case management system, folder structure and demand templates, with team training provided.
Security
Client data is hosted on Microsoft Azure in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated by firm, and protected by role-based access and immutable audit logs. Client data is not used to train AI models without written consent.
