Overview
Tradespace is an AI-powered intellectual property management platform built for organizations that develop, protect, manage, and commercialize IP at scale. Tradespace uses proprietary AI models, including a purpose-built large language model (LLM) trained on open-source and proprietary IP data, to automate workflows across the full IP lifecycle. Each customer's data is maintained in a private AI instance to prevent public disclosure risk.

Create — Invention Disclosure and Evaluation
Tradespace converts inventor source materials — including technical documents, research papers, and notes — into polished invention disclosures in minutes. The platform then evaluates each disclosure for novelty, business alignment, detectability, and other criteria, generating AI-powered summaries and scoring to accelerate IP committee review. Workflow tools support routing and approval processes to reduce the time from disclosure to filing decision.
Protect — Patent Filing and Prosecution
The platform generates patent application materials in real time, coordinates inventor and outside counsel review within the platform, and supports management of the prosecution process. Tradespace also provides AI-assisted summarization and response drafting for USPTO office actions. Filing coordination tools are designed to reduce reliance on outside counsel for routine drafting and administrative tasks.
Manage — Portfolio Management and Strategy
Tradespace enables organizations to categorize their patent portfolio by product line and technology area, and provides data-driven guidance for portfolio pruning — identifying patents that do not support core business goals. The platform tracks global annuity deadlines and supports maintenance fee payments, and provides portfolio-level analytics to support IP strategy decisions.
Commercialize — IP Licensing and Monetization
The Commercialize module identifies high-value, non-core IP assets that may be candidates for licensing or monetization. It supports searches for potential licensing partners and identifies possible infringers, generates marketing materials for IP assets, and enables licensing campaign management within the platform. The feature is designed to help IP teams that lack the time or expertise to commercialize their portfolios independently.
Enterprise AI and Private AI Instances
Tradespace provides each customer with a private AI model instance that is isolated from other customers' data, ensuring that uploaded invention disclosures and IP materials do not constitute public disclosures and are not used to train shared models without written consent. The platform is built on Microsoft Azure and uses AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
Prior Art Search
Tradespace automates prior art searching as part of the invention evaluation workflow, enabling IP teams to assess the novelty of new disclosures without manual research. Results feed into the disclosure scoring and evaluation process to support filing decisions.
