SimuLaw AI is a learning and skills development platform designed to enhance essential skills for lawyers and support teams. It utilizes generative AI to create a cast of realistic AI "characters" representing various roles, including clients, colleagues, supervisors, judges, opposing counsel, and other legal stakeholders. These characters are placed in carefully designed situations or "scenarios" intended to test specific skills relevant to each role. Learners have the flexibility to choose their own simulations or follow a training path assigned by their managers.

Upon selecting a simulation, the SimuLaw platform initiates a generative AI chat using either text or voice, based on user preference. Learners engage in real-time role-playing with the chosen character, guided by helpful hints to ensure a productive and positive experience. Depending on the scenario, learners must demonstrate competence in key skills by navigating realistic conversations and interactions.

At the conclusion of a simulation, the AI steps "out of character" to critically assess the learner’s performance. It provides a balanced evaluation of how well the learner demonstrated the required skills and offers targeted suggestions for improvement, incorporating real examples from the simulation.

A dashboard feature allows learners to revisit previous simulations and track their progress over time. They can follow an assigned learning path or focus on specific skills of their choosing.
