Overview

Regulayer is external governance and proof infrastructure for consequential AI, including generative and agentic AI used in legal and other regulated work. The platform is designed to keep human authority current at the point of action, control governed actions before they take effect, and produce independently verifiable evidence of what occurred.

Key features and functions include:

Drift Control
Maintains alignment between consequential AI outputs and the human authority currently governing the work, so the instructions or approvals in effect match what is applied when an action is released.

FailStop
An external control mechanism that can stop a consequential AI action before it executes, applied independently of the AI system generating the action.

SDKontrol
Deploys governed AI capability to run within the customer's own environment where deployment supports it, so data is processed inside customer infrastructure rather than transmitted externally.

HumanMark
Creates a signed record of human authorship at the time content is created, rather than a retrospective, AI-based detection score. Work is composed within HumanMark, recorded locally as it develops, and signed on completion, producing a cryptographic badge that any party can verify without an account.

Regulayer Receipt
A signed, independently verifiable record of AI use, the reviewer's identity, the checks performed, and the reviewing decision. The Receipt records cryptographic fingerprints of the underlying file rather than the file itself, is signed with an embedded public key, and can be verified independently of Regulayer.

Deployment
Supports local, private, and on-premises configurations. Regulayer runs outside the AI system it governs and independently of the model provider, and does not require a separate governance cloud.

Free public research resources
Regulayer separately publishes free resources for the legal industry, including a catalogue of AI-related law and regulation by jurisdiction, a directory of judicial standing orders addressing AI use, and a compiled record of decisions in which AI-related citation errors led to court sanctions.
