RedactSense

RedactSense is a desktop application for Mac and Windows that automates document redaction. Its AI runs entirely on the user's device, detecting sensitive information and permanently removing it without an internet connection or any upload of files.

Offline, On-Device AI
Runs AI models directly on the device's hardware, with no internet connection, server communication, or third-party processing. Files remain on the user's device throughout.

Context-Aware Detection
Identifies sensitive content from natural-language context as well as pattern rules. Detects personal identifiers such as names and ID numbers, financial details, contact information, reference numbers, and other sensitive data.

Complex Document Support
Processes PDFs, Word documents, and scanned images, including documents with tables, multi-column layouts, and scanned pages.

Detection Review
Presents every detection for review before export. Users can accept suggestions, flag additional content the AI missed, or restore items to keep. A choice of redaction styles is available.

Permanent Redaction and Metadata Removal
Removes redacted information from both the document content and its metadata, rather than applying a visual overlay that leaves the underlying data recoverable.

Centralized Device Management
Provides centralized admin management of devices on Team and Enterprise plans.
