Context-Aware AI Detection The platform uses machine learning models to identify PII, privileged content, and confidential information across uploaded documents. The AI reads surrounding text to distinguish contextually sensitive content from non-sensitive occurrences — for example, differentiating a name in a signature block from the same name appearing in a case citation.

Multi-Format Redaction RedactifyAI supports redaction of PDF, Word (DOCX and DOC), and image files (TIFF, PNG, JPG) without requiring format conversion. Built-in OCR enables processing of scanned PDFs and image-based documents that standard redaction tools cannot read.

Batch Processing Users can upload up to ten documents simultaneously, either from a local device or directly from a Clio Manage matter. All files are analyzed in parallel, and the complete set can be reviewed and downloaded together.

Manual Review and Custom Redaction A side-by-side review interface allows users to approve, adjust, or override AI-detected redactions before finalizing. Users can also draw custom redaction boxes for content not captured automatically, and multiple redaction styles — including solid blackout and pattern overlays — are available.

Version Control The platform stores unlimited redaction versions per document, allowing users to view, download, or restore any prior version. A side-by-side version comparison tool enables review of changes between passes before producing final documents.

Clio Manage Integration Documents can be imported directly from Clio matters and, upon completion, the redacted version is synced back as a new file. Original documents are never overwritten; both versions remain in the same matter.

Audit Trails A complete log of all redaction actions — including who made each change and when — is maintained and can be exported as a report for compliance or opposing counsel review.

Secure Infrastructure All documents are encrypted in transit and at rest using AES-256. The platform operates as a browser-based tool requiring no local software installation, and uploaded documents are auto-deleted after download. The tool is built on AWS cloud infrastructure.
