Privilege (formerly known as Relativity aiR for Privilege) is a generative AI-powered module integrated into Relativity aiR that automates first-pass privilege review for document review and eDiscovery matters.

Privilege prediction and rationale
Analyzes documents using natural language processing, machine learning, and social network analysis to generate a privilege determination for each document, along with a detailed rationale and supporting citations drawn from the document text.

Organizational learning
Retains an understanding of privilege concepts specific to an organization across matters, intended to improve consistency in privilege calls and increase review speed over time.

Privilege log generation
Automatically generates draft privilege log descriptions for documents identified as privileged, reducing manual log-creation effort.

In-review analysis and citation highlighting
Within the Relativity aiR Viewer, an analysis pane displays the privilege category and log description for each document, with citations highlighted directly in native, extracted text, and PDF files.

Structured review workflow
Operates through a defined pipeline: a saved search of candidate documents is created, a Privilege project is run against that set with reviewers confirming AI predictions at each step, followed by a limited manual review pass.
