Pilot5 Legal
by Pilot5
Pilot5 Legal is a legal research and decision-support platform that applies adversarial AI deliberation to legal analysis. Rather than returning a single model’s output, it runs five independent AI models through a structured deliberation process, surfacing disagreement and preserving the strongest counterargument alongside the final recommendation.
Key features and functions include:
Adversarial Deliberation
Before analysis begins, the platform’s Companion module builds a structured understanding of the matter, including the represented party, objective, jurisdiction, deadlines, and known facts. That brief goes to a panel of five AI models that analyze the matter independently; one model, designated the Contrarian, is tasked with challenging the emerging consensus. The models then critique one another anonymously and revise their positions before the platform produces a single recommendation, its supporting legal authorities, and the strongest counterargument preserved on the record.
Statutory Review
Reviews an employment agreement, such as a separation agreement, clause by clause against applicable federal requirements (including the OWBPA/ADEA, FCRA, DTSA, and Speak Out Act) and the law of a selected US state. Each requirement is marked satisfied, partial, needs review, or missing, with the underlying statutory text quoted from an official source.
Contract Understanding
Identifies what each numbered clause in a contract does while preserving the original source wording, and flags any material the analysis skipped.
Settlement Range
Pressure-tests both sides of a settlement position using the five-model panel, checking statutory claims and preserving dissenting views to surface a settlement range.
Statutory Authority Lookup
Retrieves the enacted text of up to 25 citations directly from official publishers, without the use of a generative model.
Firm Playbook
Allows a firm to add its own approved positions to the statutory baseline used in future reviews, subject to human approval.
Deployment Options
Available through its own console, through a REST API for firms and legal departments integrating it into existing systems, and through the Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Mistral Le Chat, and Cursor AI assistants via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Source Coverage
Statutes, regulations, and case law are drawn from official publishers and established repositories, with coverage built first for US practice and extending to the United Kingdom, Canada, the European Union, France and other European jurisdictions, the Gulf region, and international arbitration bodies. Results distinguish sourced findings from model inference.
Confidentiality
Client files are not used to train AI models. A Zero Data Retention mode, which routes deliberations through AI models with no-retention endpoints, and a data processing agreement are available on request.
