PIA is an AI agent and workflow platform built for plaintiff-side personal injury firms, covering the pre-litigation stretch of a case from intake through settlement, where most administrative work takes place: gathering records and bills, following up with providers and adjusters, and tracking deadlines across a caseload. It connects to a firm’s practice management system and to email so attorneys and staff can work from a single source of case, contact, and insurance data.
Key features and functions include:
Workflow Board
Cases move across a seven-stage board spanning intake, property damage, treatment, records, negotiations, settlement, and litigation. Each card displays its tasks and is color-coded by statute of limitations. Firms can set rules governing stage transitions, and every stage change is logged.
AI Agent
A built-in agent accepts plain-language requests from attorneys and staff to search CRM documents and email attachments for a case, write notes back to the CRM, and cross-reference a PIP ledger against the providers on file. Routine requests and more complex analysis are routed to different AI models.
Records and Bills Tracking
A records request log tracks each request sent to a medical provider, along with its status, overdue flags, and related invoices, staying in sync with the Records stage of the workflow board.
Releases and Client Intake
The platform generates pre-filled releases of information that clients sign electronically through a portal. Clients can enter treating facilities through a web form with address lookup, and those facilities are added to the case automatically.
Insurance and Analytics
First-party, third-party, and PIP adjuster information is kept separate for each case. An analytics page reports on settlements by carrier, provider balances, case costs, and settlement-to-specials ratios.
Data Protection
Each firm’s data is isolated at the database level. Connections are encrypted in transit, and integration credentials are encrypted at rest.
