Palisade Ratings uses machine learning to assess characteristics of patent claims, including breadth, complexity, enforceability, novelty, and adoption. The ratings engine presents structured analyses based on models trained on a large dataset of annotated patent claims. Novelty and adoption scores are generated using an internally developed AI-based patent search system.

The platform also includes a commission-free marketplace where patent owners can list patent portfolios for sale or licensing. Additional functionality supports portfolio classification and enforcement analysis, enabling users to identify subsets of patents for potential monetization.
