Notarize is an on-demand remote electronic notary service that provides legal online notarizations through a secure, video-enabled platform. Founded in 2015, Notarize serves businesses, individuals, and enterprises that require remote notarial services.
The process involves the notary public and the signer meeting on a virtual platform where the signer's identity is verified, usually with a government-issued ID and knowledge-based authentication questions. Once the identity is verified, the signer electronically signs the document while the notary witnesses the process. The notary then electronically stamps and signs the document. This process is captured on video, and a record of the notarization is kept.
Notarize's platform is designed to be compliant with laws that allow for remote online notarization, and it can facilitate notarizations for various types of documents including deeds, power of attorney documents, trusts, and more.

You can access documents from your email, by taking a picture on your phone, or through cloud storage services like Dropbox. Notarize uses a patent-pending forensic analysis to verify government issued photo IDs and passports. Take a picture of your government issued ID, answer a few questions, and Notarize will confirm your identity in seconds. Connect with a licensed electronic notary public over live video to sign your document. The Notarize agent will confirm your identity, witness your signature and assist you throughout the process. Once complete, you can download or share your notarized document. Completed document will be stored in your safe and secure Notarize account, if you ever need it in the future.
