The Research Agent answers legal questions posed in natural language. It formulates search terms, analyzes results, and synthesizes an answer generated from the cases it reviews rather than from pretrained model memory, with hyperlinked citations included for verification.

Drafting
Users can agentically draft work product using Midpage's case law, statutory, and regulatory corpus along with uploaded files. Drafts can be edited manually or through further agent requests, and are exportable as .DOCX files.

Citator
Midpage's AI-powered citator evaluates citing references for a given case and classifies them as Negative, Caution, or Neutral, with a plain-language explanation and supporting source quote for each classification.

Data Coverage
The platform's database includes more than 16 million U.S. published and unpublished opinions and more than 6 million statutes, regulations, constitutions, and agency guidance documents, spanning all federal courts and all 50 states plus D.C. at the appellate level, with select unpublished and trial-court data included. The vendor states the database is updated within hours of new decisions being issued.

Integrations
Midpage's research tooling and database can be accessed within Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity in addition to its standalone platform, allowing third-party AI assistants to ground responses in real, hyperlinked case law, statutes, and regulations.
