Lexary
by Legal Hub Group
Lexary by Legal Hub Group is a pre-filing review tool designed to catch clerical and formatting errors in court papers before submission. It is part of a litigation support platform that also provides court e-filing and process serving.
Key features and functions include:
Signature and Date Review
Identifies signature lines left unsigned and signatures that have no date.
Caption and Form Field Review
Flags blank caption elements, including party names, case title, document title, and hearing date, time, and department on motion papers. Also flags blank fields in the attorney or party block, such as name, address, or phone number.
Court and Case Information Checks
Identifies a missing court name or court address, and a missing case number on documents filed into an existing case.
Consistency Checks Across a Filing
Flags party names, addresses, or case numbers that appear differently within one document or across the documents of a single filing.
Document Type and Page Review
Identifies documents that appear to be a different type of paper than the one they are filed as. Also flags pages that are unreadable, blank, or missing from the page numbering.
Per-Document Results
Identifies each document in a multi-file upload and reports the issues found in each file separately.
File Preparation
Converts file formats and reduces files that exceed court size limits.
Filing Questions
Answers questions about the filing process in plain language.
E-Filing Handoff
Indicates whether a court accepts e-filing through the provider. Documents that pass a check can be carried into an e-filing with the court, case number, and filing party populated from the documents. Filing is a separate step chosen by the user.
