In January 2024, LegalOn announced the launch of My Playbooks, AI that reviews and redlines contracts using your unique standards. This tool provides legal teams with AI that identifies key issues they care about and makes edits with the language they prefer. My Playbooks also seamlessly combines with LegalOn’s expert-drafted playbooks, making quick work of complete contract review.

Funding Information:

LegalOn has raised a total of $180M  across five funding rounds.

• Series E (July 2025):
  LegalOn closed a $50 million Series E round led by Goldman Sachs Growth Equity, with continued participation from World Innovation Lab and new investors including Mori Hamada, Mizuho Bank, and Shoko Chukin. The funding will support the company’s global expansion—particularly in the U.S., U.K., and Japan—and further development of its AI-powered contract workflow solutions, including deeper integrations with OpenAI’s models.

• Series D (June 2022):
  In a major growth round, LegalOn raised $101 million in Series D funding led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with participation from Sequoia China and Goldman Sachs. The investment was aimed at accelerating international expansion and scaling the company’s contract review and management technology beyond Japan.

• Series C (February 2021):
  LegalOn (operating as LegalForce in Japan) secured approximately ¥3 billion (about $27 million) in a Series C round with participation from WiL, JAFCO, MUFG Bank, Mizuho Bank, and SMBC. 

• Series B (Feb 2020):
  LegalOn completed a Series B round  for approximately $6.8M.

• Series A (January 2019):
  LegalOn’s Series A round was for $4M.
