Overview

KLapper is a private, agentic artificial intelligence platform for law firms and legal departments, developed by KLoBot Inc., a sister company of KL Software Technologies (KLST). The platform is deployed within a firm's own Microsoft Azure tenant and connects to document management, Microsoft 365, and business systems to provide AI-assisted legal research, contract review, drafting, and knowledge search.

Key features and functions include:

Private, Tenant-Based Deployment
KLapper runs entirely inside a firm's own Microsoft Azure tenant, with documents, embeddings, prompts, and model responses remaining within that environment rather than being used to train public models.

Document Management Integration
The platform connects to iManage Work (cloud and on-premises), NetDocuments, and SharePoint, and mirrors each system's existing role-based permissions and ethical walls.

Microsoft 365 Integration
KLapper is embedded within Word, Outlook, and Teams, and can surface governed legal knowledge inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, allowing users to draft, review, and search without switching applications.

Contract Review and Drafting
Within Word, the platform reviews contracts against firm-approved playbooks, flags deviations, and proposes clause-level redlines, and can draft new documents from firm templates and precedent.

Semantic Knowledge Search
KLapper provides natural-language search across iManage libraries and document types in more than 80 languages, returning cited summaries with match scores and exportable result sets.

No-Code Agent and Skill Builder
Legal and knowledge management teams can build custom AI assistants and multi-step workflows using a Prompt Builder, Skill Servers, Skill Tools, and a visual Flow Builder, without coding.

Model Selection
Firms can choose among multiple privately hosted large language models, including Microsoft Azure-hosted OpenAI and Anthropic Claude models, matching model capability to task and cost.

Business System Connectivity
The platform connects to additional line-of-business applications, including time-and-billing systems (Aderant, Elite, 3E), CRM platforms (InterAction, Salesforce), ServiceNow, Intapp, Foundation, and LexisNexis.
