fordify

fordify is a web-based calculation tool that prepares statements of claim (Forderungsaufstellungen) for debt claims under § 367 BGB, used by German law firms and other businesses, including debt collection agencies and property management firms, to document principal claims, interest, fees, and payments.

Statement of Claim Generation (§ 367 BGB)
Users enter principal claims, default interest, lawyers’ fees, court fees, and payments, and fordify calculates the statement and produces a print-ready PDF. Several principal claims can be tracked within a single statement.

Day-by-Day Default Interest Calculation (§ 288 BGB)
Interest is calculated on a daily basis and the period is automatically split at every change of the statutory base rate. New principal claims are calculated on an ACT/ACT basis, and interest can be limited to the period before the opening of insolvency proceedings.

Built-In Fee and Rate Tables (RVG/GKG)
Lawyers’ fee tables under the German Lawyers’ Remuneration Act (RVG) and court fee tables under the Court Fees Act (GKG), along with current base interest rates, are built into the calculation.

Payment Allocation and Draft-for-Review Flagging
Payments not expressly allocated by the user are applied first to costs, then interest, then principal, per statutory default. Where several claims may require a different statutory allocation, or a payment is made before the due date, the statement is issued as a draft for review rather than finalized automatically.

Eleven calculators are available without an account, grouped into interest and deadlines (default interest, limitation periods, repayment schedules), costs (RVG, GKG, legal aid, debt collection fees, litigation costs, payment order, settlement-versus-judgment comparison), and enforcement (attachable income under § 850c ZPO). Word and Excel templates are also available.

Local Data Processing
Case data entered into the application is processed and stored only in the user’s browser and is not transmitted to fordify or third parties in any plan. No cookies, advertising trackers, or visitor-statistics tools are used in the browser.

Founder Licence (Paid Tier)
Adds permanent local case storage across sessions, CSV and JSON export, a saved sender profile, local case management (status tracking, notes, favorites, full-text search), pre-filled enforcement forms (§ 753 ZPO enforcement request; Annex 6 ZVFV statement of claims), a PDF without the fordify mark, and email support. Optional two-factor authentication is available on all accounts.
