eFraud Investigator
by eFraud Services
eFraud Investigator is a financial forensics platform developed by eFraud Services that replaces manual transcription of bank, brokerage, and credit card statements with an automated extraction process. It is built for attorneys preparing litigation exhibits and is also used by forensic accountants, fraud investigators, elder law practitioners, government agencies, and financial institutions.
Key features and functions include:
Litigation-ready evidence
Each transcribed figure is checked against its source document page and logged in a tamper-evident, hash-chained audit trail with authenticated user attribution. The AI is limited to transcription and does not categorize, reconcile, or draw conclusions from the data, supporting defensibility under Daubert and cross-examination.
Template-free transcription
Uses Google Gemini, accessed via Vertex AI, in a multi-stage extraction pipeline that classifies documents, routes them page by page, and resolves continuations and duplicates across statement sets running into the hundreds of pages. The system transcribes each figure rather than categorizing, reconciling, or drawing conclusions from it; those determinations are left to the human investigator.
Balance reconciliation
Compares transcribed running balances against each statement's printed total and flags discrepancies for manual review rather than resolving them automatically.
Fund-flow and anomaly detection
Maps transfers between accounts and flags anomalies such as structuring, round-dollar transactions, and weekend activity through an interactive dashboard.
