Overview

DROZlegal is a Canadian-sovereign practice-management platform for Ontario and Canadian law firms, with embedded AI agents supporting litigation, legal research, trust accounting, practice operations, and document review within a single workspace. Application data, databases, and hosting infrastructure are located in AWS's Montreal (ca-central-1) region.

Key features and functions include:

AI Agents
Named, observable agent workflows run on a job queue with retry orchestration and scheduling, covering tasks including bulk intake, accounts receivable follow-up, minute-book review, and motion preparation.

Ontario Litigation Forms and Legal Research
Generates Ontario litigation documents, including Statements of Claim, Defences, Affidavits, and Factums, formatted to align with Ontario's civil procedure rules, drawing on CanLII case law and e-Laws legislation for citations, with backsheets attached and citations hyperlinked to their sources, packaged for CaseLines.

Trust Accounting
Provides trust accounting functionality aligned with Law Society of Ontario trust accounting requirements, including three-way reconciliation, a valuable-property record, overdraft and commingling controls, and audit-ready report packages.

Practice Operations
Includes case and matter management, a CRM with conflict checking aligned to Law Society of Ontario conflict-of-interest requirements, invoicing that applies applicable HST and Law Society fee and disbursement rules, two-way calendar sync with Google and Outlook, and intake forms that can be shared publicly.

Document Intelligence
Supports AI-assisted drafting, contract review with risk flagging, document comparison with explanation of differences, matter analysis, retrieval-augmented chat over firm documents, and batch due-diligence scanning across a firm-defined document set with severity-classified risk flags.

Onboarding and Integrations
Reads data from a firm's existing practice management, accounting, email, and document systems to analyze firm activity and propose workflows for the firm to adopt.

Retrieval-Augmented Search
Uses a hybrid search approach combining semantic and keyword retrieval over firm documents, scoped per matter, per firm, or per user.

Security and Data Residency
Hosted entirely in AWS's Montreal (ca-central-1) region. Security measures include immutable, FIPPA-scoped audit logs, AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, single sign-on with multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, PII redaction, and virus scanning. The platform is designed to support PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 requirements.
