Conversational Task Execution
Users describe a goal in plain language, such as applying firm styles or inserting a table of contents, through the DocStyle AI chat pane or an MCP-capable AI client. An AI layer interprets the request and sequences the relevant DocStyle tools, which then execute the task directly in the document.

Style Document
Applies styling and numbering to a document based on a conversational request, building on DocStyle’s existing style-application and formatting tools.

Table of Contents
Inserts, removes, or refreshes a table of contents in place while preserving existing formatting, in response to a typed request rather than manual menu navigation.

Cross Referencing
Identifies manually typed references within a document and converts them into linked cross-references, so they remain accurate as the document is edited.

AI-Assisted Accuracy Review
Each supported task runs through a validation step in which AI reviews the engine’s output for contextual accuracy, such as confirming that detected headings and numbering matches are correct, before changes are finalized.

MCP Server Architecture
DocStyle’s underlying engine is exposed through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, an open standard that allows any MCP-capable AI client to access DocStyle’s document functions rather than relying on a single AI provider.
