Playbooks are built by the DocketDrafter team using work product submitted by the firm and are updated as the firm's practice evolves.

Guided Document Drafter Workflow
Users upload case source materials—such as pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and medical records—and the platform extracts relevant facts, applies the firm playbook, and generates editable, formatted output documents. The workflow supports full motion packages, including memoranda of law, affirmations, and responses to statements of material fact.

Court Formatter Workflow
For attorneys who draft in AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude, the Court Formatter workflow converts AI-generated text into properly formatted Word documents using New York, California, or firm-specific templates. The workflow handles captions, signature blocks, numbered paragraphs, spacing, margins, tables, and page numbers.

Multi-Environment Access
The platform operates through a dedicated web application and also integrates with third-party AI assistants via OAuth 2.0 connectors, allowing the same playbook to be used whether drafting occurs in the DocketDrafter interface or through an external AI tool.

Firm Library and Work Product Retention
Approved documents can be saved to a private firm library, along with associated drafting notes, prior arguments, and examples. The library is accessible to team members and can be referenced by the platform to anchor future drafts in prior work.

Data Security and Privacy
Document data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Firm data is isolated by organization. DocketDrafter does not train AI models on customer content. Session recording tools are configured to exclude text input capture.
