Data Breach Response
Data Breach Response (formerly known as aiR for Data Breach Response) is a generative AI application integrated into Relativity aiR that helps streamline the identification, extraction, and linking of sensitive personal data following a data breach.
Key features and functions include:
PI and PHI detection
Applies out-of-the-box Personal Information detectors — and supports custom detectors — to identify PI and PHI across ingested document sets, using document context to differentiate between types of personal data.
Structured and unstructured document analysis
Applies distinct AI-based methods depending on document type: unstructured documents (emails, word processing files, forms) are analyzed using natural-language context, while structured documents (spreadsheets, CSVs) are analyzed through table and column-header detection.
Entity linking and normalization
Automatically links identified PI/PHI to named individuals across documents and normalizes entities to produce a consolidated, deduplicated notification list intended to support mandated response timelines.
Project dashboard and entity analysis
Provides a dashboard to track PI/PHI identification, extraction, linking, and document errors across a document set, along with an Entity Analysis view for resolving conflicts and finalizing output.
Human-reviewed AI output
Flags AI-identified entities in the Viewer with a visual indicator, and allows direct editing of linked entities and PI types; documentation recommends human review of all outputs given known risks of omission, mislabeling, or fabricated PI.
Scale and document support
Supports up to 300 million PI annotations and 150 million entities across up to 1 TB of native data per workspace, with a broad range of supported unstructured and structured file formats.
