CounselAI is an AI-powered eDiscovery platform that helps attorneys better scrutinize evidence and build their cases. CounselAI creates a "SMART" case folder to help attorneys analyze voluminous case discoveries. Using a non-generative approach, they leverage top-tier natural language processing techniques to extract discovery data from a wide range of file types, classify documents into relevant categories, and summarize critical case facts — all while protecting attorney-client privilege. 

CounselAI handles the administrative aspects of discovery analysis while leveraging non-generative AI techniques, such as extractive summarization rather than abstractive, content classification, and data extraction, to prevent the possibility of AI hallucinations. The platform operates on AWS and uses AES 256 end-to-end encryption for maximum data protection and offline LLMs to ensure public APIs do not learn from confidential files.
