ComplianceOS365 is an AI compliance agent that operates inside an organization's existing Microsoft 365 environment, giving employees a first-pass compliance review of their own work before it reaches a compliance or legal team.

Key features and functions include:

Policy-Grounded Review
The agent answers only from the organization's own policy library, uploaded to a SharePoint folder. It cites the governing policy for each finding and quotes the relevant clause, and states plainly when no policy covers a given point rather than inferring an answer.

Document and Image Review
Reviews Word, PDF, Excel, and PowerPoint files, as well as static JPG and PNG images (such as flyers or screen designs), against the policy library. Video and audio content are not currently supported.

Conversational Policy Search
Employees can ask a plain-language policy question and receive a cited answer in seconds, in addition to running a full document or image review.

Embedded Across Microsoft 365
Runs inside Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Edge, wherever Microsoft 365 Copilot is available. In Outlook, it can review mail that has already been received or opened; reviewing a message still being drafted requires pasting the draft text into the agent.

Tenant-Contained Architecture
Deploys as a Microsoft 365 Declarative Agent using the organization's existing Microsoft Entra ID for authentication and standard Microsoft 365 Security Groups for permissions. No separate Azure subscription or additional infrastructure is required, and policy documents do not leave the customer's tenant.

Audit Trail
Every interaction is logged through Microsoft Purview Audit under the organization's own retention settings, rather than a separate ComplianceOS365 dashboard.

Policy Library Updates
Updating the agent's knowledge is done by replacing the relevant file in the SharePoint policy folder; no retraining or redeployment is required.

Multilingual Support
Language handling is inherited from Microsoft 365 Copilot, allowing employees to interact with the agent in their own language.

Decision Authority
The agent does not approve or reject content. It provides findings, sources, and suggested wording, with final compliance decisions remaining with the organization's compliance team.
