CloudNine Explore is intended to be used early in the eDiscovery lifecycle to evaluate the size, risk, and relevance of data before committing to full-scale processing or review.  It supports in-place (on-disk) filtering, indexing, searching, and culling of data across thousands of file types (without requiring full expansion) to reduce the volume of non-relevant documents. 

The reduced data sets can then be exported (e.g. to CloudNine LAW, to native format, or to other platforms) for further processing or review.  Explore also logs user actions and supports defensibility by maintaining audit trails. The goal is to help legal teams assess cost and risk earlier, cull irrelevant data up to a high percentage, and make the downstream review and production steps more efficient and manageable.
