Clausefield

Clausefield is a contract field extraction platform available through a browser dashboard and API. It is scoped to structured data extraction from commercial contracts rather than full contract lifecycle management, and does not include redlining, risk scoring, or legal-advice-style analysis.

Fixed Schema Extraction
Extracts a standardized set of commercial fields, including parties, effective and termination dates, governing law, payment terms, auto-renewal, notice periods, termination language, liability, liability caps, late fees, confidentiality, assignment, indemnity, dispute resolution, warranties, service levels, surviving obligations, change of control, force majeure, intellectual property, data protection, audit rights, exclusivity, non-solicitation, most-favored-nation language, venue, insurance requirements, contract type, currency, and total contract value.

Accepted File Formats
Accepts PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), JPG/PNG photographs, and ZIP archives of those formats, up to 15 MB per file. Optical character recognition is applied to scanned documents and photographs.

Source Attribution and Coverage
Returns a page-level source quote and confidence score for each populated field, along with a coverage meter indicating how complete an extraction is. Fields that cannot be found remain null.

Extraction Technology
Uses large language model providers, compatible with OpenAI and xAI APIs, to interpret contract text, with a rule-based fallback when primary extraction is incomplete.

Branded Briefs and Sharing
Generates a branded brief in PDF form from an extraction, with revocable, token-based share links that display structured output only; original files are not accessible through share links.

Compare
Compares two extractions at the field level. This is a value comparison rather than a redline.

Dates Calendar
Lists upcoming termination and renewal-notice dates drawn from prior extractions.

Counterparty Grouping
Groups prior extractions by counterparty, with entity name variations folded together.

Clause Fingerprints
Flags recurring normalized contract language across an account's extraction history. This is a recurrence count, not a risk assessment.

Dashboard and API Access
Provides a browser-based dashboard and a REST API sharing the same schema, including batch extraction of up to 10 files, webhooks, and CSV export.

Data Handling
Uploaded files are processed in temporary storage and discarded after extraction. Structured results and metadata are retained for dashboard history: the last 50 extractions on the free tier and the last 250 on paid tiers.
