ChronoTracer

ChronoTracer is a litigation and investigation platform that extracts events from case evidence, including emails, texts, phone records, financial records, social media, calendars, and logs, and organizes them into a chronological record tied to specific people and times. It runs alongside an existing review platform rather than replacing it: the review platform handles the underlying documents, and ChronoTracer organizes what happened across them.

Key features and functions include:

Event extraction across evidence types
Ingests evidence from eDiscovery productions, mobile and computer device extractions, cloud service exports, and native files, and structures it into discrete events carrying event type, date and time, participants where identifiable, content, and a source citation. Dense structured evidence such as call detail records, toll records, badge logs, and audit logs is converted into named, filterable events organized in the same chronology as email and other evidence types.

Identity connections
Links accounts, phone numbers, email addresses, social handles, and other identifiers found in the evidence to the people in the case where the evidence supports it, so activity by the same person across different channels can be viewed together. Identity connections are part of the record and carry their own source citations.

Searchable, filterable events
Extracted events are presented in chronological order and in context, filterable by participant, timeframe, or event type, with navigation back to the source document and Bates citation where available. Events shown are the extracted results themselves rather than summaries of them.

Plain-language AI assistant
Allows users to query the structured event record in natural language. The assistant breaks a complex question into steps, builds the corresponding searches and filters, and returns events along with the citations that support them.

ChronoTracer MCP
Provides an MCP server that connects the structured event and identity record to MCP-compatible AI tools, including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Harvey, and Legora.

Scale and deployment
ChronoTracer has been used by AmLaw-ranked firms, regional firms, and litigation boutiques on matters involving tens of millions of records. It runs alongside an existing review platform and does not require a major implementation; deployment on a matter consists of loading evidence rather than configuring software, with setup handled by the ChronoTracer team.

Security
ChronoTracer has completed a SOC 2 Type II examination conducted by an independent third-party auditor, with no exceptions noted.
