Beamprobe is a virtual data room for M&A advisors, solicitors, corporate legal teams, and accountants running fundraising and diligence workflows on transactions below £100 million. The product is built and hosted in the UK, with document storage in the EU and compliance with UK GDPR and EU GDPR by default.

Multi-Document Data Rooms Rooms support grouping of multiple PDFs into a single shareable link, with per-recipient access controls, per-recipient watermarking, and per-recipient analytics. Subfolders are supported one level deep. File formats including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote are auto-converted to PDF on upload.
NDA Gate with Audit Log Access to a room can be gated behind an NDA acceptance step. Visitors provide their name and email and accept the NDA before viewing documents. The audit log captures full name, email address, IP address, and timestamp, and is exportable as a CSV or signed PDF for compliance use.
Per-Page View Analytics The platform tracks reading activity at the page level using heartbeat pings, with tab-visibility awareness to distinguish active and passive engagement. Email scanner and bot traffic is automatically identified and separated from human view data. Analytics retention ranges from 7 days on the free tier to 365 days on the Business plan.
Dynamic Watermarking Each page viewed by a recipient is overlaid with the viewer's email address and the date of access, applied client-side via canvas rendering without altering the underlying file. This creates a forensic trail in the event of unauthorized redistribution.
Per-Recipient Tracked Links Each invited recipient receives a unique cryptographic link. Links can be configured with expiry dates, view count limits, and password protection, and can be disabled individually without affecting other recipients' access.
Bot Detection and Filtering Beamprobe identifies traffic from known email security scanners, including Microsoft Defender, Mimecast, Proofpoint, and Barracuda, using JavaScript execution, mouse movement, viewport, and timing signals. Bot views are filed separately and excluded from human engagement analytics.
AI Room Chat An AI-assisted chat feature allows document recipients to ask questions grounded in the documents within the room, with citations drawn from the uploaded materials.
Encryption and Data Residency Documents are encrypted at rest with AES-256-CBC envelope encryption, using a unique per-file key wrapped with a 4096-bit RSA certificate. Application servers and database are hosted in the EU. Storage is on Cloudflare R2 in EU jurisdiction. Data does not transfer outside the UK or EEA in the ordinary course of business.
