Automated Civil Litigation (ACL) is a document assembly platform built for litigation, estates, debt recovery, and family law practices in Canada.

Document Assembly
Users select a document type, complete a series of matter-specific questions, and generate a Word or PDF document with a single action. The platform is designed to reduce manual drafting time and limit copy-and-paste errors in litigation documents.

Court Forms Library
ACL maintains a library of over 3,500 court forms and letters, including current Ontario, British Columbia, and Alberta civil and small claims forms, along with federally prescribed forms for tax, bankruptcy, the Federal Court, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Forms are updated as court rules change.

Data Capture
Client, opposing party, and court information is entered or imported once and stored centrally, reducing repetitive data entry across related documents.

Customization
Firms can import their own letterhead and templates and add an unlimited number of firm-specific precedent clauses for inclusion in assembled documents.

ACL Task Manager
A companion module that centralizes matter deadlines and tasks, with reminders as key dates approach and the ability to generate customized reports on outstanding or overdue items.

Integrations
ACL is built to integrate with several accounting and practice management systems, including Amicus Attorney, Elite/3E, Aderant, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Time Matters, to import client contact data and manage file access.

ACL was originally developed by Korbitec, a document assembly technology provider founded in Cape Town, South Africa. The Canadian litigation-focused arm of the business operates as Korbitec Inc., headquartered in Toronto, and is now offered as a Dye & Durham solution following Dye & Durham's acquisition of the business in 2022.
