Criticality and Types of Testing
Before investing in technology, it is prudent to test how well the solution solves the intended problem. Depending on the type of solution, these types of tests may be available. Testing is critical to ensure that (1) the technology works as the vendor proclaims it does, (2) there are no unanticipated internal obstacles that prevent the technology from working properly, and (3) the technology does, in fact, solve the relevant problem for your users.
