In the last chapters of the Simple Guide to Legal AI, we talked about machine learning as the technology that underpins most legal AI solutions, and natural language processing as a branch of AI. Data underpins both of these technologies. In fact, data is the fuel that powers all of AI. It’s commonly referred to as the ‘new oil’ of the digital economy which helps to paint a picture of how data will come to underpin and fuel many different applications in the future.
