Paralegals handle all stages of case preparation, including client intake coordination, USCIS form preparation and cross-checking, document collection and recovery, affidavit and declaration coordination, and assembly of complete ready-to-file case packets with cover letters, indexed exhibits, organized tabs, and translated documents as needed. Standard turnaround time is 21 to 26 business days from receipt of complete client materials, with expedited support available for time-sensitive filings.

Prior to preparation, paralegals conduct a structured document review to assess case readiness. This includes reviewing all submitted materials for completeness, legibility, translation accuracy, and format compliance; cross-checking against USCIS and Reciprocity requirements by country; generating a structured checklist of received and missing documents; and flagging potential case risks such as inconsistent information, expired documents, or other issues likely to generate Requests for Evidence or denials.

Paralegals handle ongoing post-filing client communication on behalf of the law firm, including monthly check-ins via email, text, or phone; proactive status updates; document follow-up; and intake coordination. Client-facing communications are conducted under the law firm's name, with alias email addresses available to maintain brand consistency. Legal questions are forwarded to the supervising attorney, preserving ethical boundaries.
